I've got a Boss Rc-2 looper but no guitar amp.
I'd love to be able to go from the pedal to my computer's soundcard.
Would this require some extra hardware in between?

I am open to any and all suggestions that might help me enjoy this pedal without necessitating a guitar amp.
Thanks very much.

You can get an 1/4 to 1/8in cable and that will let you plug the output of your pedal (which has a 1/4 TS in output Jack) to the Line In on your sound card (Which has an 1/8 in Input) ...

The audio will probably be in Mono (Meaning you will probably only be able to hear your Guitar out of one speaker) but you will still be able to Play and record through your Pedal to your PC and it will probably sound pretty Bad but it should work ....

Good luck

It doesn't necessarily need to go in a computer -- i take that back.
it would be great if i could somehow go from the output jack of the pedal to headphones.
but what's the best way?
eternal thanks

plug yor headphones into your 1/4" output jack.youll probably have to get an adapter.same if you wanna plug it in your sound card.and depending on the inputs..shouldnt take too much brains homie.and get you a stereo 1/4" splitter.thats for your stereo input for the sound card.youll have to peice a few things together.spend 20 and get nice stereo mix sent in if youre recording.especially if your working with little.

I do it all the time with my Korg pandora box, right into the MIC insert in the laptop, not even a soundcard.

It works well for sketches and stuff. I won't be producing with Timberlake but oh well.

The Mic input on your Laptop is a soundcard, anything that Puts out or takes in audio on a Computer is a sound card.....

I know with some of my Pedals I can simply Plug my headphones directly into the output of my pedal and get an OK signal , at least good enough to listen to what you are playing.....If you had a Headphone amp you could plug the output of the Pedal into the Headphone amp and be able to hear what you a re playing

I actually built some active electronics for my Guitar which makes it hot enough so I can even plug my headphones directly into my Guitar and hear what I am playing......

Cheers

yeah, I know there's an internal soundcard,
I was just simplifying, and saying you don't necessarily have to have a 1500$ turtle beach souncard, if you're just doing demos

I do a straight send from the fostex to the pc, R/L as well.

Simple can be extremely effective
