When I copy a wav file in N-track and then paste it, N-track always pastes it into a new track (and directly "below" the copied wav). How do I choose a specific point in the song for the wav file to be pasted? I know this can be done, but I've searched the manual and can't find the answer, so I always end up dragging the wav across the song to fit it where I originally wanted it to be pasted.

Also: I know how to select a wav, then press "shift" and select additional wavs and move them as a group horizontally (across the timeline). For some reason I can't get this to work vertically (across tracks). Any ideas?

Thanks,

-J

If you want to copy a selection from one track to another, but keep it's original start location, which is what I think you want to do, ie compile a single vocal track from pieces of several takes:

1. Copy the section you want.
2. Left click on the track name (over on the left hand side of the track) of the track you want to paste to.
3. A highlighted section appears on the track
4. Hit paste and your done.

Hope this helps,
Pete

JWT - that's what I've been doing but the problem is that the highlighted section (mentioned in your #3) never appears...I'm guessing I need to have the program's parameters set differently, but I can't figure it out...

Hmmm, I'm not sure where that would be in the options, sorry I can't help you there.

What version of N-track are you on?
