ECM8000 vs. SM-57

I am getting new mics thanks to everyone's harsh criticism of my "crappy mics", which is better ECM's or SM-57's for drums? I know the SM-57 is better for bass guitar, and guitar and vocals.

They both have there purposes.If you've got the money get two ecm's for overheads, then atleast a sm57 for snare and kick.There are better kick mics out there:d112,beta 52,senn. 421 but if your on a tight budget it's hard to beat 57's
 
ECM8000 Sucks....

Well I've never used one before....

but, I still think they suck :D
 
but do they suck just a little, alot, or really really bad....come on, be more specific.......
