Just a Home Recorder
I am in the process upgrading my soundcard within the next week or 2 and have decided to go with either the Echo Layla 3g or Delta 1010. I've heard a lot of good things about the 1010, but haven't heard much about the Layla.
The only differences I noticed is:
Delta doesn't look like it has XLR i/o (correct me if im wrong)
Layla has 2 XLR i/o's with built in preamps (not sure how good of a pre)
Layla has headphone jack (minor advantage)
So I am leaning towards the Layla for $499, $100 more than 1010. Can anyone who owns one or the other (or both)comment? I'm interested to hear what people who have or have used the Layla have to say about it (and it's preamps).
My studio's focus is mainly Hip-Hop, R&B and Spoken Word, if that helps to know. I'd appreciate any information or experiences with these soundcards.
