here is another email from him after I sent a fictional Western Union MTCN # to him

The MTCN # is not correct..............ok. it should be 10 digit #.

this is the nexest scam out there..
Never let them over send money..
and never use Western Union.. unless it is through pay pal..
i dont like people to have their own shipping people pick it up..

Yep, a very common eBay scam these days. Many of these are from overseas. It's gotten so I will only sell in the states. I hate to do it, but the time, trouble and risk isn't worth it.
If someone from the forum who is outside the USA wants something I will add their eBay ID to my list, but otherwise it's mostly a lower 48 auction anymore.

I've had the same thing on craigslist. It's a huge problem there. He says his client will pay for it with a cashiers check (FAKE) that is way over the price, and just to send him the left over money. Contact your local police dep or something.
