e609 price change?

I'd bet it's a mistake. For awhile, Sennheiser offered the 609 and 609 silver, the regular 609 was much more expensive, list was around $350, if I remember correctly.

damn your right i bought mine for only 110 ,we should sell ours now to rookies who dont know we could sell em for like 150 lol
 
i think you may be confusing it with the 609 silver, which goes for 99$
if you got a regular 609 for 99$ bucks, then start bragging about it. ;)
 
Well, the product description states "e609 Silver", so I'd guess its either a case of an inaccurate description or inaccurate price. I'm going to bet on it being the description.
 
The 609 silver has gone up everywhere and is looking to go up higher. Luckily, I bought 5 of them at once in a bulk deal for like $65 each or something like that, about a year and 1/2 a go. They are realizing how good it is and what its really worth. An incredible deal for the cake.

yeah, but at that kind of price level why bother with the 609S and not just pick up a couple vintage 409s instead?

The 609s is a good mic, but the 409 is just plain nicer.....
