The E-MU sound to good to be true....i mean all those features 4 just 700 bones? there got to be a downside to this piece ....i was looking at the mp-7 witch has the proteus and mophatt soundset with a 16-track seq.
how is the sequencer on the mp-7? can it sequence my djx keyboard? I hear that the rmx is a nice sequencer but has shitty sounds

witch one should i buy? i need a sequencer really but i could use a lil more sounds to go with my keyboard....

all help is greatly appreciated!

HAAAPPPYY NNEEWW YEEAARRSS!!

the mp-7 for the 700 is alright. especially since you already hav a keybord and jus wanyt some more sounds. i like the sequencer on it. its easy to use you'll have to give it time to grow on you.i've heard lazi say he likes the rmx1 i dont know much about that. i just think u would have to use your keyboard as a controller on that cuz u cant pound the keys like youd want

The RM1X is dope...

Peep these threads... The songs I posted aren't up anymore... Got some good reveiws on the sounds though.

This was a thread about the MP7...

I've heard some negatives about the MP7 but the sounds will probably beat the RM1X hands down... I'm loving my RM1X and plan to stick with it's style of sequencer for a while. Some cats can't use the shit for nothing though.

Happy hunting...Peace.

I compared the RM1X with the EMU XL-7 and find that the Emu has a MUCH better sound.

Don't go for the RM1X unless you want to bring the sound of the 80s back. That's why I recently got the XL-7. For hip-hop you should go for the MP-7. It's an awesome piece of gear! It's also cool that you can add sound modules (with a hefty price tag, though). What I also like about it is that it has so many MIDI outputs. I hence use it (in combination with a decent keyboard) to control ALL my outboard gear via MIDI. The 600 buxx is well worth it. The only downside of the EMU is that is it rather complicated to handle -- ia part due to the fact that has so many features. The RM1X is much more "intuitive" and it's faster to create a drumline.

uhhhh -- 100 threads promoted me to a "senior member"! Where's the champagne?? ;-)
