I'm thinking about buying a Heet E-bow. Does anyone here have any opinions on the e-bow or any tips? Do you have to have great pick ups to use it? Thanks in advance for any responses.

I love my E-Bow. Its great for special effects-or for times when you just can't think of what kind of solo to do, or as an added texture. As far as tips-its pretty easy to use in theory-the unit has grooves that line up with the strings adjacent to the one your playing-so basically decide what string your going to play on, center the red light on the string you want to play-and...wait. That being said its not that easy to play it in a controlled way-switching strings can be tough, and if you gotta pick it up in the middle of a song for a solo in a live situation-it can be a little rough. Like anything else a little practice.... Oh and type of pickups makes no difference-the thing will even work on steel string acoustic guitars. Definetely worth having in your arsenal.

ive had my ebow

for almost 5 years now. Its a great little tool for getting some weird sounds. Too bad someone lifted mine from our practice space. Now im pissed

That settles it then. Thanks guys for your input, i'm really looking forward to getting my own now. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
