Hi,
I'm a beginner in home recording and i notice that when i look at a sound graph of all my songs they do not go above the 0.0 mark on the left hand side.

is this something to do with dynamics? or something else

Are you referring to the db level of your tracks? If so then you really do not want to exceed 0 db if you're using a computer system. Digital seems to be extremely unforgiving of any clips (signal levels going into the A/D converters at 0 db or greater) I think this is what you were referring to but I really am not clearly understanding what you are trying to ask.

well is this real time while you watch the levels or did you analyse the tracks with some software...it may just be the average db for that side is less.

May have to adust your mix(panning for stereo image).

Do you have separate peak and average metering?
