well I have started making a demo with four 60$ dynamic mics and an alright mixer and a firewire solo box. To me it sounds like shit and it is multi track and I have had trouble mixing the final product

I have never heard the quality of condenser mics first hand and I really wonder if I were to buy for instance a PV10 mixer for the drums mics that my drummer is gonna buy and a condenser mic for the geetar and such. Would this really improve on the sound

I have a recording of this work but I can't figure out a way to post this in the mp3 section thingy

if you know how to post songs on here then please reply cause I want you guys to here how shitty it sounds :)

Maybe. If the song was really good, I'd be OK with the shitty sound though. Is the song good?

hahahaha yeah well I guees it really depends on what you like but it's a surf song pumped and all but I really want it to sound better cause it is a good song but I hate the quality.

If you're asking if switching to condenser mics will make your crappy-sounding mixes better, the answer is probably no.

And I've never heard your mixes, either, so I have no idea if they are crappy.

Anyway, you'll get different sounds out of condensers that will certainly be more appropriate for certain things. Like drum overheads, accoustic guitars, and some (but not all) vocals, etc.

And it's just good to have a variety of different-sounding mics. Having different options available will make your stuff sound better over time. As you learn to use the stuff properly, that is. Wouldn't expect miracles or anything right away, though. Learning to make good recordings is as difficult and time-consuming as learning how to play an instrument well. Probably moreso.
