... Hi I have a client who has some tracks he wants mixed from da-88's. I have limited experience with them. I plan on renting one for a day but am not sure what acssesorys, i should be looking for. Im dumping to my mackie d8b + hdr system.
First off, connections. I'm thinking about just using the analog outputs, or should i try to use the digital outputs to avoid the extra conversion. If i do use the analog outputs... can i use any generic 25pin dsub that out puts into 8 1/4's. or do i have to have one specificaly for the da-88? .. If i were to use the TDIF output, and once again I'm not familiar with this, I would not be able to expect it to connect to any inputs in my board (if i dont have a tdif input) mabey to SPDIF or AES-EBU with some type of extra da-88 card or connector?.. (sorry for the newbieness of this question
)??
Second syncing to my system... Will i have to request an additional card with the da-88 to sync with midi time code or smpte? I think I will need the sy-88 (i think thats what its called...well the extra sync card) additional card.
.... Well... thanks in advance, anyone familiar with these would be a huge help.
