I recently got a great deal on a mesa widebody 1x12 cabinet.
It has an MC 90 in it rated at 90 watts.
My amp, I can setup in 50, 100, or 135 watt mode.
Problem is I feel I get the best tone in 135 watt mode. This uses 4 6L6's abd 2 EL34's (The manual says this is 135 watts, I would have thought it was 150). I think the sound I get is more full and thicker.
So my question is basically this. As long as I am not all out cranking my amp with the volume above the 12:00 position, I should theoretically not have to worry about blowing my speaker, right?
