Ducking with Reverb spring effects

How can i use a Noise gate or a Ducking unit to create Palm muting spring reverb jarring effects?


I don't want to use my Palm of my picking hand so how would i do this electronically?


I need a electronic Damping effects to jar and spring the reverb how do i do this?

Assuming here that your palming would otherwise be the natural trigger for the verb and there's a good reason to jump through hoops to do it another way..

You might get a gate to trigger on just slaps'.

when i palm mute my guitar i get a different attack/decay sound from the reverb why is that the spring reverb changes when palm muting?

maybe because the transducers respond differently depending on the frequency ?

Palm muting has much bottom and I quess this can cause the transducers to react differently.

Maybe post a sound clip or so cause I think it's all kinda weird ?

It's definatly nothing you can help with a noise gate !


Just try to roll off low frequencys on the send to your reverb unit

I think I achieved what your trying to do by doing two things, or maybe its similar to what you want to do. one being, if your amp is on the floor, you can kick it to rattle the springs, two is I have a Korg AX1G multi effects pedel, I used something on there when I was fucking around that did it for me.

what piece of gear would shorten the sustain time?

Sustain is measured in positive time - seconds or milliseconds.


Is the sustain is 1 second how do i make it shorter? what piece of gear would make the sustain shorter or its positive time shorter?


Common Kiwi whats the answer


If the sustain is 50ms how do i make it 20us?

If the sustain is 100ms how do i make it 10us?

if the sustain is 350 ms how do i make it 80us?


Would a GATE or Noise GATE or ADSR do this?
