I'm reading Owsinkski's Mixing Engineer's Handbook and there are a couple of terms that I've not sure I'm grasping correctly.

What's the difference between a dry track and a wet track?

A " Wet" track has one or more effect on it, whereas a dry track has none...dry right out of the mic...Hope that helps

Okay, that's makes sense. I was inferring it all wrong because I thought he was drawing a distinction between raw tracks.

Thanks for the help.

a wet track is a song that gets you laid by a lot of women ;)

A dry track means you're going to get anally reamed by Bubba as soon as you play it for anyone.
