Hey all,
I have a question regarding drums. I currently have a 8 channel board that I run vocals through and also bass during live performances. We are a four piece band and don't usually mic the guitars (2 of them). I have just purchaed a drum mic kit. I would like to run the bass/kick drum straight to the PA but run the other drum mics through a mini mixer or some sort of preamp and then out to the board to save some of the open channels(in case I have to mic guitars etc). Is this ok and if so, do you recommend any type of mixer or preamp that I can use?
THANKS

I would think any small mixer that fits your budget and has a proven track record - ie is dependable - would suffice. You need to determine how many inputs you need and more than likely the mixer will have the output(s) you need also.
