Drums in the mix

Hello,
Could you please listen to this post-punk tune? I'm not really sure if the drums aren't overwhelming the whole song, especially the kick. After 2 years of mixing I'm still struggling with how to make it sit right in the mix.

I listened on headphones. I don't think they were hatefully overwhelming. Especially for a hard edgy song like this one. Maybe cut them back a little bit? But personally I like the kick out in front. Not sure how they were recorded to say how it could be improved.

If it was me mixing, I might mix a little more room into the drums, and a little less direct mic so you don't necessarily loose drum level, but it sits back a tiny bit. As above though, this track wants to be in your face and it does sound in your face! Good work!

Pretty cool - it's not the drums - it's the massive amount of bass frequencies.
