Hey alright,

I've got the "bare bones" of my latest song. Intro/verse, prechorus and chorus. But I want a bit of advice on how to improve moy drum sound before I get too carried away finishing it off. Its only a minute and a half of its constituent parts at the moment

At the moment I have a load of drums samples and I am building up my own loops to get exactly what I want, tell me what you think.

Any comments on the mix or my guitar sound well basically comments on anything would be greatly appreciated. I'm recording through a TonePort UX2 with REAPER.

The final arrangement is going to be:
Intro/verse
Prechorus
Intro/verse (with lead over the first 1/2)
Prechorus (played through twice with lead over the 2nd half)
Chorus
Interlude (as yet unwritten but they are usually easy)
Prechorus (twice)
Chorus (twice, 2nd half with solo)

Any other ideas on this would also be nice.

it sounds good imo. the drums sound authentic minus the kick which sounds just like a sample, but for rockin tunes like this one a consistent kick works well. so all in all not bad. cool envelope filter on the guitar btw

Not bad. If you have loads of samples, look for a meatier snare and kick and bring it up front more. Think Ludwig Supraphonic with no ring.
