Drum sound over distorted guitars

I think it definately has enough click. The test is, when you play it through crappy little speakers with no low end at all, can you still hear it? I just did that, after listening to it through full-range speakers and a sub... it has enough punch and click I would say.

good playing, it reminds me of the band "becoming the Archetype"

The only comment would be that I can't hear a bass guitar anywhere in there even with the sub. The whole mix is a little quiet sounding.

But it's still a good mix, I like the bigness of the toms.

James, thaks for spending some time listening to my mix. As you said there's no bass in the mix. I assume once I record it I'm gonna have to make some minor tweaks to the bass drum... maybe. I haven't applied any maximizer to the mix... and the overal volume it's a little low... just afraid of clipping!!!:D

Oh, by the way, I'm mixing guitars and drums for the first full-lenght album of my band, Infection. I just want to have the proper drum sound to go on with the rest of the tunes.

Too much click on the kicks, I'd say, not much of bottom at all.
It really bugs me at 00:41 starting sequence... or is the high pitched farting from the snare?..
VERY processed and PC-sounding.

IMHO the guitarsound is nice enough to get some more "live" drums...
But that's just me, I realize they nowadays make Metal-recordings with sequenced drums everywhere.

Guitars are nice though.

The drums sound really fake. That machine gunning double-kick has no texture to it. It's robotic. Maybe that's what you want in this genre, but I've heard lots of programmed drums that are machine-like but still have a human feel to it. I don't know anything about drum samples and programming, so I can't tell ya how to fix it. I just don't think what you got sounds very good. Sorry.

I haven't worked yet on the dynamic and velocities of the grooves. I'm just trying to get the right sound for the pieces, then I'll do further programming, especially on the bass drum. I'm working with BFD2, not a drum machine but the principles are the same... it's possible to get a human feeling but it's a lot of work, and a lot of fun too.
