Hey guys, I need some help. Just finished building my drum booth..and now i need to design the inside as effectively and inexpensive as possible. The booth is about 8x8 ( i know..it's small) and right now it's just bare sheet rock walls and bare plywood floor..wanted to get some advice (and money) before i did anything else. i am totally open to any suggestions so feel free to throw in your 2 cents. thanks alot guys.

Bryan,

My best guess is to make the floor and two adjoining walls reflective, and make the ceiling and other two walls fully absorbent. That room is too small to benefit from a room sound, but a hard floor and two walls is similar acoustically to the corner of a much larger reflective room. The key to making this work is applying material that absorbs down to low frequencies, not just a thin layer of foam or fiberglass that absorbs only the mids and highs.
