I use sonar 1.3 and producer 3. I have Drumagog for replacement of drums. What else do you folks use when you want to replace a drum. I want something that will use the existing drum track, ie. kick or snare , as a trigger just as Drumagog uses. Thanks,Jim :)

I like the sound of the Roland TD-6 (a module of an electronic drum set) but to me the best is using loops. Even sometimes I use real hihat loops with electronic kick and snare. It gives that human feel I look for.

They are doing fine. I know a couple. But they are very hard to fit the bedroom where I use Sonar. So I use sampled drums. There are great loops (Betamonkey for one), but recently I have bought BFD drums which produces very realistic drums from midi.

That said, I have noticed that some crappy, not so realistic, drum samples may sound better on some tracks. Maybe because they got some punch and hihats that cut through the mix because someone produced the sounds that way, not caring about realism.
