filmed during sessions for a Latin jazz project. Session drummer Japs Reyes playing around the kit with grooves and fills.
Footage was flipped to reflect the panning of the drums (drummer perspective for all air drummers out there). The drumkit's tuning is tight and punchy, the toms a bit high (so as to give room to congas, bongos and other percs in the project). Towards the end, the camera leaves the drummer to show a tour of the room and room microphones used in recording the drums. The snare drum on this clip is a Taken vented snare (ala OCDP).
For this mix, all mics are in - no muting of toms. Enjoy!
