Drum Programming Tone Thread

I'm on programming drums now.
Working on my first song, a cover of this:

Help me get the drums right.
Here's what I've started with:

I'm working on the first 8 bars right now.

I'm using AD here, and I haven't picked out a good sounding kit yet,
nor monkeyed with (turning off) the effects.
I have Abbey Road, AD, EZ drummer and Strike (as well as probably some others) to choose from.

Any suggestions for a kit that will get me closer to start out with?

The tone of the drums (especially the toms on the fill) is completely different,
I need help with the tone.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

The overall kit sound is gonna be altered when you drop bass and guitars on it. Record some scratch guitar and bass tracks and then go through the process of choosing samples.
