drum isolaton

i really want to built some kind of drum isolation screen or something to make a better sound, but im not really sure where to start. I built a vocal booth 4'4'7' and id like to just built a durm booh like 8'8' but i dont have the room...

does anyone have any cheap, effective solutions to this?? im veyr hadny with bulding, and so is my family, im just not sure whats best for this.

i basically want a clear/3 sided ""structure""

Draw out your room and what you want, and we'll help...

What you need for isolation is something airtight, with a lot of mass. It should be mass-air(cushion)-mass, where in the inner mass is decoupled from the outer, as shown. Then you gotta treat the inside will absorption etc. I doubt you'll get a good sound in such a small room, so you will want it quite dead at all frequencies, so no boominess. Then you can add the reverb you want later.

I'm not sure what you want. A sceen won't give any isolation, and will probably make things sound worse.
