Cool. Great combination of guitar sounds on this one. At the very start I was thrown as you had this fairly normal grainy sort of rock guitar sound, but then around 7 secs in, those lower guitars kicked in and it had your patented sound.

The drums sound great for the most part, but there cymbals really sound different from one section to the next, which is fine, except the sections like the one @ 1:25 till around 1:50 the cymbal (HH?) seems too up front and kind of thin. It immediately recedes after that and sounds better in other sections. That was the only thing that stood out to me. Nice job.

Thanks for the feedback hm. Yeah that part at 1.25 was where I was trying to emulate Gallagher's drummer where he plays a shuffle groove with the right hand and bashes the hats with the left. I think I still need to work on my technique there :D Cheers man

bit of a growler huh?

im on PC speakers so i wouldnt really any low end build up but couldnt hear any...all sounded pretty clear...relentless tune, could do with vocals for me at parts on some bizarre ronald reagan sample saying "humans would unite in aliens were to attack us" kinda thing

good stuff

The drums seem a little rushed or something...might be the double snare hit.
You really have a way of bringing new sounds to the table. This time it's distorted and wah - cool stuff.
What the heck are you using for all you palate of guitar sounds? They are great!
The mix is good for me - overall nice and even and well glued together.
Reminds me a lot of old Dave Edmunds stuff...which is a fav..

This is a pretty cool tune. When it started out I thought it was going to break into a wild Primus type jam with some crazy lyrics on it. Maybe you could go with Earl's suggestion. Or maybe the Bush "one day fish and humans will coincide together." LOL. Great tune though.

I feel like an ass :p. The one thing I point out happens to be the one thing in the OP you were emphasizing on this. That sucks :o :D.

Really, the drum performance sounds awesome, I just thought the cymbals jumped forward in the mix oddly at that point. I can't imagine that is a technique thing?

Great guitar sounds. I agree on the HH being loud at 1:25. Sorry. everything else is pretty cool.

That style of drumming is called open drumming. It's a good way to develop limb independence.

I think it sounds pretty great. The guitar leads and riffs can be a little louder.

kcearl - Thanks for the listen, I know it's not your area. Samples are a good idea as I'm not in a lyrical frame of mind at the mo. I might explore that avenue..

ido1957 - Yeah couple of timing things with the drums which I should redo. Most of the guitars were through a Korg pedal although I had a lot of trouble getting the rythym tone and I had to dust off my old Rocktron pedal to do the business. Yeah Dave Edmunds was very worthy...I actaully had Status Quo at the back of my mind during this. Cheers ido

trumpino1 - Hey man thanks for the play

heatmiser - I went back and had a look at that section again and I'd actually bumped it by 2db earlier for some reason which made the weirdness stand out even more, so...well spotted :D

TripleM - Hey Trip thanks for the +ve words.

Greg_L - Yeah those leads were a bit shrill initially but I might have pulled them back too much. Thanks for the listen

Yup... I enjoyed this one. I'm with Greg - the leads need to be turned up just a bit. They're borderline being covered up by the rhythms. Good stuff! Keep it up!

PoeticIntensity - Yeah a 1/2 db on the leads sees them sitting better. Thanks man

The intro & 1st section reminded me of the Glitter Band - that's a compliment - they really rocked & their beat was primal.
I was almost sing Roock & Ro oolll. Rock'n'Roll.
I think you should come up with & record a primal chant for this - it's cool.

What a great tune, BH!
Rough and raunchy heavy rock'n roll, love it!
I have no nits on the mix, to me it sounds rock solid and that's a great percentage due to your performance. Wish it was longer and had some voices......Great stuff!:)
