I'm gonna ask you guys a question just to see where people's head is at.

Here's the situation.

You have a song that's going to have 5 emcees on it. You plus 4 other people. You can get any mainstream artist that's living on it cause you have clout like that.

Who would they be?
What order would everyone (including yourself) spit in?
And why did you pick them?

Verse 1: Jay-Z, because if you have Jay on a track it's gonna get heard and Jay's shit is ill....especially his style that doesn't hit the airwaves (so I'd be tryin to get him on that hard flow that you don't hear as much as you should)

Verse 2: Dr. Dre, because his style fits along with Jay's and not to mention that Jay has ghostwritten some of Dre's shit before (LOL). Plus not to mention Dre has his own presence on tracks that makes him stand out....just his character.

Verse 3: Me, right in the middle. If you miss the rest of the track then it's MY FAULT!!!

Verse 4: Jadakiss, cause sometimes he goes out there but he always goes hard and makes his presence felt...and you know when you hear him.

Verse 5: Game: He'd be a nice follow up to the end and always got some shit to say. I think that him in the mix would shake things up nicely.

well first of all, Me or You(or anybody in the same category) on a track with legends or top emcees wouldn't be consider a "Dream Team". We are way underground, and say we did come as hard as the rest, it doesn't matter because nobody has heard of us nationally!

So to make this "Dream Team" be for real in my eyes it would goe like this:

1) Jay-Z, for pretty much the same consideration you have, he's known all around and he'll always mention something in his flow that well just byte you in the ass. lol.:D

2) Eminem, but the slim shady eminem, when he first came out...that shit was so skillful and intelligent. Til' this day there's no one who can top that album!

3) Royce Da 5'9", his content and true emcee skills are really under rated by the public. I mean I was a fan when I first heard him on Em's first album. They mesh will together, all three of them so far!

4) Nas, Wow Jay-Z and Nas together...it has happen before but a SONG...or an Album like we were promised a couple years back...would be so SICK...these two showed us a lyrical battle of the century so for them to join a team and spit...one word....WOW!

5)this is a tricky one....I hate limitations on the best out of five because there's so many more I wanna put on this team..but I will have to go with..... Jada Kiss, yup that completes the top five lyrical assassins that would just murder anyone or any who!

Great concept I hope more people stick to the format and participate in this thread!! Oh yea...I don't agree with that particular order, it's just the way I type it, from the head. I would know who to put first/last once I heard the verses as a producer/engineer I would than mix down the right order but putting them in order before you heard what they gotta say is kinda irrelevant!

1. 2pac
2. Lupe
3. Me in the middle, like you
4. Nas
5. Big L

my bad :p

1. Lupe

3.) NAS
4.) Talib K
5.) Jigga

Tough....

Im going to hype it up, people always listen to the hype man even iff just to say "stfu already" (eh hemmm green lantern)

Ill say Jay-Z first because his flow is SICK. He will draw people ears to the song.

Im going to go second because people have been sucked in by jigga so now they are forced to listen to me.

Eminem is 3 becasue lyrically......he is not rivaled. He is the epitimy of a lyrical genius, hate if you want.

Joe Buddens goes fourtth because he has nothing spectacular to gain attention but he is the most overlooked man in the game. Absolutely shits on every beat, flow is crazy, he just cant cop a deal. Most cats aint know jersey city existed, hes lettin em know Jersey City is Gifted......

FInally WEEZY (without autotune) will cap it off. Thats what hes good at, rounding out a track. Im not talkin T-Wayne weezy, im talkin drought 3 weezy, when he OWNED the game.

THat would be the A- Squad because you cant go straight lyrical only because your uneducated KISSS FM listeners wont feel it, you want to make money so it needs to be bumped in a club. This lineup brings lyrical with entertaining but never lacks skill and precision....

LOL I knew people were gonna say Em....believe me I wanted to say Em too but I figured it'd be too obvious. People hate on him all the time, but I agree....dude is simply one of the sickest lyrical emcees in the game PERIOD

I could have went with Weezy but again I agree....No Wee-Pain (made me tired of Autotune....but I may actually use it to actually improve singing-wish me luck).

Hova (I said it before and I'll say it again and again)....as long as it's his straight raw pure uncensored Hova I'm in....but the crossover version of Hova...won't cut it for me....he sounds like he steps down in skill just to appease motherfuckers...NO.

Seen a lotta Nas up in there too...but also noticed that he's always with Jigga.

Logisci, I will say that's nice strategy homie...putting yourself in between Jigga and Em. If they wanna hear em both, they're forced to hear you out (or fast forward right through you).

Oh and Louie...I gotta disagree about not puttin yourself in there. I mean if you got 4 other legends in there with you, they're gonna be pushing you to get noticed. I mean I ain't gonna not hear a track that has that kind of caliber on it just because I don't know who ONE of them is. Hell, I'd use that opportunity to spit the illest shit I ever wrote.

I hear where your coming from, but I took it in a realistic form. When I hear a song with two legends on it than they have someone local from that state bust a verse, I just don't feel that (not for the purpose that they didn't go hard lyrically) it's just you have to prove yourself on your OWN before you are considered to be on a "Dream Team".You can go to HipHopGame.Com and hear the comments on the songs that your favorite rapper or someone you like very much do a song with someone that's unheard of and be like "Damn why they do that" It's because of money, most of the time.

Someone locally was able to come up with 25 thousand to have Rick Ross, or Wayne or anybody you like on it..to perform on they song. It's not like that artist was giving a blessing by your favorite artist unless that underground artist "PROVE" himself on the streets already and got sign to the same label as your favorite artist is on, than that's a whole different story! I mean for a good EXAMPLE...basketball ALL Stars. The All Star game.

You have the best players in the NBA on 1 team. You don't have four players on the floor that you know with someone you don't know! Everybody on that team has proven themselves to be notice to be on that team. And so metaphorically I'm saying we haven't prove are self to be in the same team as the people I've and others mention on here. I'm not saying your wrong or anything it's just my opinion on the subject and being realistic about your thread on the "Dream Team". Don't get me wrong, I would love to spit with Jay-Z, Nas, Em, Royce, Joey B. etc..etc..but to me even though they would like me to do a song or collaborate, they would diffidently not consider myself or you to be on that team. It's a team with the best of the BEST!:D

Now to answer your question, If I had proven my self to the world already I wouldn't care too much on when I spit on a song. Cuz like you said before, people are gonna listen to that song no matter what, because of the sick lineup. I would like to go first and try to spit the hottest intro 16 to a song because the rest of the cats go hard no matter what! but it's all good I know where your coming from as in "if you ever got a chance to spit with your favorite rappers, who would it be?" in your question, I just took it a little deeper in thoughts!- Good Convo-LV

Well if you decided to put weezy on the end of your lineup just because of his commercial status I would have to disagree. But if you put him on because of some lyrical skills and could bring some commercial taste to the team that's okay by me.Wayne does have Punchlines, that will have you like "how did he think of that shit"
I mean just having Jay-Z and Eminem.. especially Eminem...look at RELAPSE ..after a five, six year hiatus this dude already went platinum in two weeks...so if you where looking for a commercial artist to put on your line up after these two, you didn't have too. Em is all you need. but wayne puts the icing on the cake!lol:D
Now Joey B. I can't believe I forgot Joe Buddens dawg, If your a Joey B fan than you have to like Slaughterhouse!!!!! The next best thing for hip-hop right now is Slaughterhouse! Those dudes go Stupid hard on the mic! But good lineup bro,-LV

Son i breathe slaughterhouse.

Shoot ya while ya talkin on some news camera crew shit.....ahhhhh

Ima Jersey Boy, i NEVER forget Joey.

I put Weezy in there because although he is wack now he absolutley DOMINATED the game lyrically.

Weezy could make any beat fire (as seen by drought 3 (Ciara-Promise)).

I mean he said....Weezy bad...nah really im good....sound like a T-Rex live under my Hood.....

HONESTLY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! HATE......i dare you

My mix brings in lyrical precision and commercial prestige.

Shit, im no pro, my delivery is buns, my beats are mediocre, but i pride myself on the fact that people scratch their head at my metaphors. I feel that if you have to think about it a second then your doing something right....in a game dominated by metahpors its hard to be original.

I get commented on my lyrical ability all the time, never "oh shit that was a banger", im not gifted enough to make a banger so i put myself in a lineup of those i relate to lyrically and those that can compensate for my lack of delivery.

Tell me im wrong.....ill tell you "thanks for telling me im wrong"....seriosuly...i will......

Well let me take a stab at this since i dont rap.. I will do the track with a intro..

Chorus/Hood - T-Pain/Akon --wait that has been done... Chamillionaire - cause his singing rap just sets the tone for a banger

1st - Nas - cause he can bless any beat and make it a classic

2nd - Common - cause no one wants to give this guy his due.. dude is nice

3rd - GullyJewelz - cause he bless every damn thang i send him and is always on point (does that count)

4th - Scarface - because its the south and he is the king of hood stories

5th - Ludacris - to end it all.. he has so many styles that its ludacrisssssss..

Its was touch.. cause i love Ice Cube, krs-one, LL, redman, jodie breeze and sean paul (of YB)
