Hey, I'm new to the forums, but I'm definitely interested in what some of all the indie artists are up to. I've been writing and making music for about 2 years now, but never really started going public with it until recently. I thought I'd release some of my own twists on popular music and first one I release was a remake of Drake's started from the bottom. The video is really personal. Long story short, I was on the Canadian national junior soccer team and had big plans to play professional soccer. Then I had a severe injury that I couldn't rehab for years, dropped out of high school, went through a lot of shit (doing drugs, selling drugs, associating with the wrong people) then met my wife, got my life on track, had two kids (one on the way) and discovered music as an outlet. Any feedback on this would be great. I recorded, mixed and mastered this myself, own exclusive rights to this beat and had a good friend from high school produce the video. Hope you enjoy!
