OK I know I've got a steep learning curve here, but just got my shiny new (relatively new) DP-24 from ebay and I'm hoping its me and not the unit. I'm using a Yamaha Motif ES that works fine when I plug it directly into a pair of power monitors. Now, basically I took my 1/4 inch jacks that were in the monitor and plugged them into plugs 1 and 2 of the DP-24 and I took another paid of 1/4 inch jacks and ran them out from the monitor out to that pair of power monitors.

What gives? No sound from my Yamaha? I turned up the faders. Turned up master volume. No signal at all is registering. Stupid question - do I need a midi cable to make this work???? Yes, I'm a certified noooobeeeee.

Did you assign the inputs to tracks? Did you arm the tracks to record? I suggest you read the manual. (btw, I'd suggest you assign those inputs to one of the stereo pairs, 13/14 thru 23/24, to get the proper rendering of the Motif's stereo effects)

I got it working -- not sure what it was. I loaded the sample song, raised the gains, and everything was working after that. Thanks
