The style of music is Death Metal. If you have not heard it before you might not like it. If you want/need to hear the sound of some death metal bands I was hoping to get the mix to sound like let me know and I will post links to mp3 files.

Thank you...

To Bloodsoaked

Killing You

Thanks for the chance :D BCD

Damn.. the drums are a single stereo file.. Not too nice/flexible..

Is it allowed to reprogram new drums under the tune?

I will be gone for a week, but can't wait to try this one. Thanks guys.....see you in a while..... :D

I just downloaded the file and the whole song if off timing. The drums start all alone adn then the guitar kicks in and then the back up vocals. The song is all over the place.

Besides that from what I could make out I love the guitar sound.

You might want to check out the mix again.

If you would like to program new drums feel free. Maybe you could do two different mixes? Feel free to do what you like. This is a learning experience for everyone I think.

Well.....I think we might have a problem. The software I use to record and mix with (Mixcraft) edits the files in a way that might not work for everyone. It seems if I cut out certin parts of the .wav file it only mutes them, leaving the original .wav unchanged. Becasue while listening to just one track in Mixcraft I hear only what I want to hear. If I pull up that same wave file in media player I still hear everything I cut out.

Let me look into this a bit more and I will write when I get home tonight. I am not sure if this will work with the file uploaded. CRAP!!!!

I'm not sure about the other guys but I'd prefer a WAV of each track that each start at exaclty the same song position (the begining that is). So each file should be the same size. I'd then bring each WAV into Sonar at 00:00:00 and then the timing would match yours exactly.

I'm not sure about your package but I would imagine that you could export each WAV separately by muting all the other tracks and exporting the unmuted track... however many times it takes...

This might not be possible though... I'll leave it with you ;)

great idea though, I'll check out what I've downloaded later

Thats what i was thinking when he relized it didn't go as planed :p

My software (Mixcraft) has all the tracks starting at 00:00:00. It is just that if I some vocals at say 00:00:35 and then I remove them and have say the first 20 seconds of the actual vocals in Mixcraft it will remove it but the actual .wav file is unchanged. It seems as if when I am cutting a piece out of the track it is actually muting it, as if I play the edited mixcraft track in mixcraft it has the music/vocals of a particular track perfect. If I play that same .wav file in say media player all the “cut” sounds from the track are still there.

Let me know if anyone is having issues. If issues are being had I will see what I can do to get the original “unedited” tracks in a .zip file.

Well, 3 hours playing with the tracks, as they are came, resulted in this:

Killing you softly

What ya think?

I am at work right now and will check it out as soon as I get home. thank you for taking the time to edit/mix.

Did you have any issues with the files?

I wanted to post the song as I have it as well

Killing You Song

I wanted to give some info on the song so people are aware. There are the following tracks:

1 Drum Machine Track
4 Guitar Tracks
1 Bass Track
2 Main Low/Deep Vocal Tracks
1 Main Higher Pitched/Screemed Vocal Track
1 Low/Deep Vocal Track for back ups (screeming "I am")
1 Higher Pitched/Screemed Vocal Track for back ups (screeming "I am")

OK, the 2 Main Low/Deep Vocal Tracks should be heard through the entire song and at basicly the same volume. The 1 Main Higher Pitched/Screemed Vocal Track should "ONLY" be heard during the "Killing You" chorus and NOT at any other part of the vocals. I know I sung the hole song on that track but I only want to use the 1 Main Higher Pitched/Screemed Vocal Track along with the 2 deep vocal tracks during the "Killing You". That one track should be a bit lower as well so it does not make the vocals to crazy. Just enough of the 3rd scrremed track to give it a "kick". If you download the song above you will get an idea of what I was going for with all the vocal tracks.

If anyone has any questions please ask. I will be more than happy to answer any questions. Thank you.

Peter
