Double Duty: surround sound reference monitors?

Can anyone recommend reference monitors that have surround sound capability? Earlier this year, I was sold on the Alesis M1 until I got royally burned by Musician's Friend and had to cancel my order.

I'll appreciate any suggestions; right now, I'm leaning towards Tannoy Reveal, Yorkville YSM1p, or Event 20/20...but I'm not sure whether any of those would be suitable for surround sound.

A number of things you need to take into consideration. For a 5.1 system you need a matched system, 5 the same monitors and one subwoofer, all working happely together.

Especially the crossover point between the sub and satellite speakers is important. This takes a large number of monitors out of the picture. Of those left, you might want to consider JBL (25's or larger, depending on your budget), KRK and M&K, which all provide for good balanced systems with matching subs.
