Don't Buy Any "MoreMe" Mic Holders !!

I still use a pair of closed Pioneer SE-305's (hey don't laugh) that I bought back about 1979. Nothing's bent, earpads are in great condition and the cord is still in one piece. Sound is decent too. The only thing I've had to replace was the thin foam over the speakers in the earcups. I think I finally got most of it out of my ears. Even the coiled cord eventually became a very long almost straight cord

I also have a pair of old Koss HV/1A-Plus semi-closed cans that are good for listening. Need to replace the foam earpads though. I'm still picking that foam out of my ears.

The brass inserts are ALL that hold the mic to the stand. Without them, the RS ones last pretty much 1 (one) attempt at screwing them on. Let alone the fact that the RS part might not even hold the mic at all. Pay for the MoreMe and enjoy. Life is too short to save a few cents on mic holders.

Hmmm... I have one of theses Radio Shack mic holders and I've been using it for 3 years or so with no problems what so ever. The thread is still good as new.

That's because you have the "vintage" ones.

My uncle gave me a pair of old Koss from the 70's that seem indestructable. LOL

They are ugly as hell and has 2 knobs on each side.

I think they are bass and treble knobs.

The only thing not 70s about them is the fact that they are missing woodgrain.

Malcolm

So are they avocado? Or gold?;)
