Donating strings to a mission trip...

Hey everyone,
I hope this is OK to post here.
I have a great opportunity to go to Mexico again this summer with a church to build a new church. These people have next to nothing in the materialistic sense, but in someways they actually seem just as happy if not more, than others who don't have wants.

When I was down there last time, I saw a bunch of guitarist who didn't have all their strings on their guitars, and I found out why.
They can't afford to buy strings very often, because things like food and medicine take priority.

So, if anyone would like to donate ANY strings (mostly 6 string elec. & acoustic) I can give the church address & pastors name to send it too if anyone is interested.

They don't have to be new either!!! If your changing your strings, don't toss em if they could still work.

I just hate to see people with guitars, and no way to make music with them!

even so that is such a nice thing too do... pleaes give me the address i would definately send down all of my used strings,... what a waste to jsut throw them out when some people need them!

As for the nylon strings, I didn't see many
of them in the churches we went to, but I'm
sure there is plenty people who could use some
nylon too.

Thats fantastic! Our church has sent lots of equipment to churches in Cuba, most of these churches are playin with Casios and destroyed drums.
The ones that do have guitars (if you can call them that) are usually missin all kinds of parts, especially strings.

Count me in!
