I'm making some music since some months, and yeah ... it's getting better and better^^.
i only have my notebook and FL Studio 6 on it.

Now the question:
How do I do live perfomances ?? I mean, it's electronic/experimental music...and I don't now where to start??? Am I just standing arround and play one song after another?? Somehow this is......boring ^^.

And yeah...what hardware stuff do I need?? What would be the best and also not sooo expensive??

Thanks...I hope someone can give me some good advice

hmm..

Depends on where you intend to play...

First the "approach" :
What I usually do is start with a song that I think the audience will like.. Get the blood pumping... Maybe follow it up with a second... Then introduce yourself... Get personal with the audience... Talk about something that you think may relate ot the audience... Then I move to a more 'interesting' piece... Introduce it first, then go into it... Then do a mix of fast / slow, etc.... and the next thing you know / Your Gig is OVER! and the money is in your pocket...

As for the gear - Just take whatever you need to make your 'sound' / Then depending on your venue bring a small sound system a couple mics and you're golden..

Hopefully this will give you something to kick off with...

You're on the right track thinking that sounds boring...too many bands never realize that

As far as what equipment you need...most venues will have a decent sound system and at least some sm58s and cables. Did you make all of your music with the sounds in FL Studio, or did you use some kind of midi synth or something? If you have a laptop, your best bet might be just bringing it along, getting a cheap audio interface (which you probably already have?) and just triggering the loops and such with some kind of a midi keyboard. I've never done this in FL Studio, but I used to run Reason tracks and play piano/synth over them with just a basic E-Mu or MAudio board. It all just depends on what you want to do live, and like riverdog said, what kind of stuff it takes to get your 'sound.' Good luck!
