Does it sound professional to you?

3 - I agree once again with the fact that the drums are weak, and I'd like all of you to present solutions to it. I want to stick with the V-drums. How can I make it sound stronger? And - if you're familiar with Roland Td-10 sounds - how do I make the cymbals sound more real?

You could use real cymbals? I'm about to try that approach myself. Personally, I prefer to use my v-drums just to trigger samples in sonar. I think samples sound 1000% better than Roland's drum sounds.

Sorry for pirating this thread, but Eric, can you give me an idea of the samples you are using in Sonar.

Our drummer uses V-Drums as well, and I'd like to also use them to trigger samples. Are you working with Sound Fonts - or something else.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled flame war.

Is it THAT good to trigger sonar samples? Where can I get banks? And does it works with Cubase Sx also? What about latency? Is it real-time?

yes... some of the recording aspects sound pretty good. They would definitely pass for demo/semi-pro/whatever.

But the mix is extremely un-professional...

...and that has nothing to do with your equipment.

Sure, you made good use of what you had to work with... so now make good use of your ears and fix the mix. :p
