Does everyone get free CEP since its bought out?

Im thinking about getting cakewalk, but from what i hear cep is decent too. how do you get cep if its bought out?

The first version of audition was the same as CEP v2.0 just with a different name.

There have been some pretty useful improvements on audition v1.5

I use both cep 2 and aa 1.5. I don't see much difference but cep seems to run on less resources. my modest pc tends to bog down a little with aa.
