such as, chorus, reverb, or double delay? When I try to run one of the demos it says various plugins are not installed. Also can't find them when trying to add a send effect to a track.

Insightnsound said:This is a licensed version, I'm trying to run a demo from the Cubase cd. I've searched the cd and can't find any folder with plugins. Did just one cd come in your box? I did not get any errors during the installation, and it did not ask for another cd. Hmmm.
Insightnsound said:I'm running this software on a Mac so the paths are a little different. I checked the plugins folder and it is empty. I've also tried reinstalling with no luck, guess I'll have to give them a support call.
Are these effects even worth the trouble or should I just search for freebies? I'm also a little scared that something else may be amiss once I get a little deeper into the workings of Cubase. If the plugins are not installing maybe something else is missing as well.
Nunavut said:hey scrubs, i see you mentioned downloading some extra VST plugs. i was wondering where that was? as im using Cubase SX and was wanting to add plug ins to what came with SX.
thanks,

I ditched VST 5.0 for Tracktion because I wanted to go legal and Tracktion is a lot of fun ... but I'm being paid for some recording time in the summer and no-one is going to want to use Tracktion. So what are the major missing parts in SE? What's the MIDI / soft-sampling support like? (Tracktion has all a sampler built in) Are there any major limits other than the 48 track count?
Insightnsound said:Just wanted to let everyone know that I found the plugins. All I had to do was go to the Cubase program icon in the applications folder and ctrl+click and then choose 'Show Package Contents'. Copied the vst's and put them in their proper place, now everything is working as it should be.
Also, I tried the installation on a Pc and the install worked like a charm. For now I'm going to stay with the Mac since it's a dual processor.![]()
