hey george... I know of a situation like what you have begun to describe. In this instance the lady was even overlooked by her own church, which she had attended for years , but no one really knew her beyond a superficial hello. I'm babbling and I know when to shut up.

I wouldn't know how to clean one of those collaborators even if I caught one. Do you fish for them in fresh water or in salt water?
Please forgive my squirrelliness. I just got home from 14 days at work. I'll level back out in a day or so.
Meanwhile, back on the farm.......
Song.....continued....
JUST ONE TOUCH
She watched life from the shadows
She was cursed to live alone
Her money was gone with her hopes close behind
And to her pain the town was blind
Drowning alone in a sea of many
Her tears reflecting empty faces without pity
Her body was weak but her faith came alive
When she heard about Jesus there was hope in her eyes
And she said....
(Chorus)
One touch from Jesus
Even the hem of His robe
One touch from Jesus
Will be the touch that makes me whole
Many were there in the streets that day
Her life in the balance she would not turn away
She pressed through the crowd and reached out her hand
And gently touched Jesus like only faith can
Jesus turned and said "who touched Me"
For he knew her faith conceived
Then God's Love heard the story that she told
He said daughter be of good cheer for your faith has made you whole
George...I hadn't seen it coming from the first lyric you posted.
I was expecting another direction but this is better, scriptural and the message stands up to the re-telling, as do all HIS words. What I was expecting was a message about the importance of our witnessing to those around us, most importantly to "the least of these" Now I gotta write it myself.
Oh well,,,,a writers work is never done
Y.I.C Chazba
Your right about the writer's work never being done. I have to write like most people need to breathe. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Your gift will make room for you and is the only release a writer has for the things in his heart. I can talk about those things, but its not until I surrender them to paper and melody that I find that release.
Okay, I'm back now......
The song, "Just One Touch", was the song I refered to in an earlier post concerning my most memorable compliment as a songwriter. That is why I write. Not that I would get praise and approval from man, but rather God could take something that I put my hands to, and use it to minister to someone else. What a God we serve!
This is a song I started writing many moons ago but never finished. I'll post what I've written thus far and anybody that wants to can take a stab at the rest.
WHEN I'M DOWN
When I'm down
I'm standing tall
When I'm down
this world seems so small
When I'm down
all heaven's before me
When I'm down
down on my knees
(Chorus)
On my knees
Any place or any time
Before the One
Who turned the water into wine
On my knees
One things for sure
I'm growing stronger
Down on my knees
When Im down
Im standing tall
Up on your glory
The world seems so small
When Im down
All Heaven's before me
When Im down
Down on my knees
(Chorus)
On my knees
Any place or any time
Before the One
Who turned water into wine
On my knees
One things for sure
Im growing stronger
Down on my knees
When Im down
I won't forget
Up on that cross
You paid for my debt
When Im down
My heart is yours
When Im down
Down on my knees
