Does anyone have the Behringer xenxy 1204 usb?!

Okay so I have my mixer recording and all is good. But i mean the quality isnt all that good. I was wondering if anyone has this mixer they could show me some good settings to put the knobs on and what volume to have the fader so i could achieve better quality.

well, if i could i would... I just got this yesterday and im not really sure what the eq and compression on the mixer does and i thought maybe someone could help me understand this so i could get better quality
 
I'm not bashing Behringer, but I bought a Xenyx 1622 last weekend, and it only took 5 minutes to realize that no amount of knob twisting was going to make a good sound come out of it! The preamps sucked - I had to turn the gain all the way up for a Shure SM57 (and SM58 - I tried both, just in case), and even full blast they were not clipping per the channel light but WERE distorted and noisy. Even the line inputs were noisy. I took it back to Guitar Center the next day and they ahd no problem crediting me because they knew how bad the mixer was too!
 
I have three Behringer mixers, including the 1204 FX USB...

All of them came with User's Manuals, which combined with just a very small amount of research, enabled me to get quite good sound out of all of them.

However, it took me just a little bit more than "five minutes" or "since yesterday".

You can get quite good sound out of Behringer mixers, just as you will get quite shitty sound out of SSL and Neve consoles if you are only willing to invest "five minutes" or "since yesterday" in learning how to operate them.

There are a lot of hobbies/occupations out there that are perfect for people with no attention spans; you might want to look into one of them...

I just ordered one today so we'll see how it goes after i play with it awhile
