how do you record your Reason project into Cubase SE?

I've gone to the darkest corners of the internet in hopes of answering this question before posting here. Alas, nothing I've found has really helped, but I did find some good porn during my adventure. :D

I've been able to get a recorded signal by routing my outputs to a mixer and sending that back into my sound card. Seems like there should be an easier way.

When you look at the mixer in Cubase the Rewired Reason channel is active. I then try to add an audio track to record onto but can't figure out how to get the Reason signal routed to the track. Am I going in the right direction or should I abandon this approach?

All I'm wanting to do is have some program trigger my drum waves and I was hoping to use Reason since it came free with my sound card. Is there any other free program or trial version that would work on a MAC platform, while also making the process less of a pain in my arse?

1. Open Project in SX and open Reason (From Devices Menu)
2. Fire up Reason, and load your Reason Project.
3. Back in SX use the Reason dialog that opened in step 1, and select the Reason mixer channels you want available to SX.
4. Set the Locators (in SX) to encompass the length you need to bounce down (typically the length of the Reason track)
5. Under the SX file menu choose Export>Audio Mixdown, and select the outputs from Reason in the outputs dropdown list, assign a file name and check the Import to Pool box. (Just like bouncing VST's). Remember if you have many tracks in Reason to Bounce, Solo each track 1 at a time for mixdown using this method.
6. Open the Pool, and any files you mixed down will be in the audio section, and you can now simply drag them into your SX project.

Voila!!!

Thanks for the step by step tutorial.

Can anybody recommend a good software drum machine that runs on a Mac? I have a bunch of wav files and would like to have each one seperated onto tracks so that I can add effects independently. What is everyone else out there using?
