Hey,
I just bought a delta 1010 card and am considering buying a 12r mixer to go with it. Someone give me some feedback on that mixer.
Thanks

Nope!
It's overall capabilities are far too limited for recording unless used for monitoring tracking to the pc.
Equipped with only 2-band eq on ea channel rated from 12 to 80 hz, sub-par pre's, no "Group" or "L/R" options, single "MASTER"
fader and only 1 stereo aux return. The 12R is suitable for LIVE apps in small venue's but IMHO not worthy for decent to serious home-rec'ding or project work!
I own both the Alesis 24 & 32, both of which are average,middle-of-the road boards with acceptable features and offering more mixing capabilities than the 12R.

I would have to disagree with Q.

For the style of mixer that it is, I think it is very good. Yes you do have limited EQ, but you can get around that by using the EQ in your software. What I like about this mixer is that it has 8 mic pre's. Most mixers in its class come with only two or four - six at the max. Plus, the channels with the Mic Pre's also have inserts on those channels. I have had similar mixers like it by Mackie, and found them to be too limitting in their flexabilities.

The Alesis 24 & 32 do have a bit more to them, but then they also cost a little more.

Good Luck.

I also like the 12R. I've used it for home and live venue recording. The only drawback for me is that the pre's get a little noisy if you turn them up very high (way high). I think the quality if fine. Whether or not it has all of the features you need is another matter that only you can decide. Take care.
