its made by magix and i was turned on to it years ago and love it and would like to know if any one esle use it maybe we can trade some secrets

I use it... And although it's (specifically, V10 Professional) is probably the single greatest audio program ever authored (next to it's ever so slightly bigger brother, Sequoia V10), I can't even think of any "secrets" to it.

what plug ins you use while recording as you know i use a limiter and comoression or do you record with no plug ins

You can't record through plugins... You could monitor through plugs, although I can't really imagine why anyone would (except maybe some verb for a vocalist or something).

If you're using post conversion digital dynamics control at the input, I'd very, very incredibly highly suggest that you NOT do that... How you could possibly know what your input stage is doing? It's not going to compress the signal - If you're overdriving and clipping (which is what it sounds like from the description) at the input chain, all you're doing is making a really, really bad thing much worse.

Or am I misunderstanding something...?

well in the mixer under master plug ins we use a limiter and compression ... all can be reversed and also track for track for reverb or echos.. my question is what plug ins you use under the master plug ins in the mixer

Whatever I need / None if at all possible. Just like anything else.

Never a limiter - Occasionally a dB or two of buss compression (AM-MUNITION is pretty much the king at this point IMO) or a parallel (UAD) LA2A or something if necessary.

But no particular "starting point" -- The only starting preset is "everything bypassed."

Hmmm ok thank you I will have to look into some stuff
Here is a good question how do you do that edit effect when you pitch it down

With the pitch shifter....? Although the ElAud is rather spectacular also...

It was a rhetorical question - It's all in the manual.
