I play in many bands, but I'm considering only one of them as a serious band. It's a 5 piece band and we do covers, mostly for partys, weddings and stuff. I play guitar / keys / vocals (lead or back).

One of the other band I have is with 2 other friends, we play original compositions (not my own) and I play drums with them. Maybe I'll sing someday with them. 3-piece band.

Another band is for fun; covers too, but more heavy. Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Van Halen, Queens Of The Stone Age, Kiss, and more... I play guitar and sing. This one is a 3-piece band too.

Another band for fun too; alternative rock. Still covers. Muse, Jimmy Eat World, Sum41, Wolfmother, +44, etc... I play guitar and sing again. Still a 3-piece band.

None of the bands have the same players, except the first 2 bands who has the same drummer.

All the instruments I play: Guitar / Bass / Keys / Drums / Vocals

I write my own stuff too and I have a mini-studio. I can do, well to my ears, pretty decent recordings.

That's pretty much it I guess!:)
 
While I do play the drums, my bandmates probably just keep me around for my audio gear.
 
Hell no, Not any more ..:(.. you just can't rely on anyone but yourself.
 
I play guitar, was in a band once for a short while. Only played covers though, was pretty lame. Would play in a real band, but I just don't know enough musicians that don't also just play guitar.
 
I sang/played guitar for years in a 6 man band- fun but a bit of a hassle with that many schedules. Now I sing/play bass in a 3 man band- much better! :cool:
 
I think I wrote in here earlier that I was back in a band....then I wasn't....now I'm back....again.

Im in a pop punk band called Ivyside based in Brockport/Johnsonburg PA. I play drums and sing supporting vocals. We have some rough stuff up now on www.purevolume.com/IvysidePA the recordings are my first ever experiance with recording. I feel they are pretty well done for having no previous experiace with recording. But hey everyone has their own opinions haha

And I've played in many bands. Everything from hard rock to hard bop, smooth jazz and heavy blues on drumkit.
I played lead djembe and sang in a West African group for West African ballet.
For the past twenty years, I play percussion for belly dance. Now I have my own group with an oud player, qanoon and bass, and I play with a violinist and a qanoon player in another middle-eastern group.
I also play some mean blues harp (but I do that on recordings under an assumed name.) :)

Playing music with other musicians or a dancer is what drives me. I don't like being out there without another artist to play off of.
 
My "band" consists of my 24 yr old daughter and me. I play guitar, we both sing. Strictly a hobby for us both.
 
I play in the praise band at my church. Actually, one of the guys in the band was who told me about this site. I play guitar 99% of the time and fill in on bass when our bass guy is out. But I can play the guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and sax all very well(at least in my eyes ;) ), and slightly play the trumpet.
 
I am the fontman/rythm guitarist with Breaks the fall in Rapid City SD/ Sturgis/ Deadwood/ surrounding areas...sometimes North Dakota as well.....and soon Colorado. We are 25 percent covers/ 75 percent originals. Rock...to Hard Rock Style.
