have basic piano, guitar sounds?..

i need to buy a sound module, and i'm into r&b music..

i need urban sounds, definitely,

but will i have access to some "basic" instruments?

i'd really appriciate it if any of you all mo'phatters out there tell me..

I don't really kknow about the sound set of the MOPHATT but a cat named SOUNDBOY wh kicks on the HIPHOP forum of this baord uses one. Check some of his posts to get a listen to it in action.

You can buy expansion cards for it and some cards include ORCHESTRAL, VINTAGE KEYS, and another is a PERFECT PIANO deal so if you got extra loot you can have all that good stuff as a add on.

Get at SOUNDBOY in one of his threads and he'll shoot you the 411 though....

dawg your thinking of the korg triton/karma...the mo phatt(if its anything like the planet phatt) doesn't have those 'regular' strings are piano and whatnot...i have a planet not the mo but they say the mo is the newer version of it so i'm guessing its pretty much the same

No for real... The MO PHATT has slot(s) that'll take any of the many PROTEUS expandsion cards which include the PERFECT PIANO and ORCHESTRA and almost everything they put in any of their sounds modules.

But yes MO PHATT is just a souped up version of the PP which doesn't have any painos with the factory default presets. I'm not sure if there are any in the wave forms... Hold up let me check... Nope not a one... Just some organs and elec. p's. I would think there'd be at least one on the MO PHATT but I don't really no. ASK SOUNDBOY....

i haven't been focusing on instruments for a while but damn i don't think so, i know when it first came out it didn't anyway...

Mo Phatt

Laz, the Mo Phatt cannot take any cards but the Mo Phatt Turbo can take an additional 2 expansion roms.
The MP7, which is the table top version, command station can also take the expansion roms.

Apologies m8, my head was still around the Phatt and not the Mo Phatt. You are absolutely right, tkaes one rom and gives 4 expansion slots with the turbo version.

Amen to that. I own the turbo. Emu makes a pretty good little R&B library - expansion roms are great.
