I am tryin to set up a home studio. I have a microphone and plenty of unused beats. I know I need a mixer, so I am currently looking for the right one to get. Can someone record a track on the mixer itself, or do u need an external memory source?

:o Kev:

If you have a SIAB, then it has a "mixer" to set up the stereo track for a CD.

Then, there are the PC set-ups which have everything too. [Since I am not using a PC set up, I speak in general terms.]

You can run sounds through a mixer to a recording source. But, if my brain is working properly, not all mixers are recording sources.

Help me out guys/gals!

When you walk into a store and ask for "a mixer", you won't get something that records.

If you get a roland vs2480, it is a recording device that has a mixer built in.

If you go with a computer setup, (depending on the interface) the mixer will be in the computer software.

[They still have the "reformatory" there?

I'm originally from the Windy. Just wanted to say hello.

The building is there, I don't know if it's being used any more.

Howdy!
