if i get a condenser mic and have a preamp.... will this be enough to record w/ decent quality (for one acoustic guitar and my voice)? I ask because i've heard that the condensers are really sensitive, which leads me to believe it would probably pick up the acoustic pretty well. Let me know, i'll go w/ your group conscience.

What mic? What preamp? Certainly, you can do all your recording with one mic. Results will depend on lots of factors and, ultimately, your ears will be the judge of what is "good enough."

The mic is a AKG Perception 200, the pre-amp is the m-audio firewire for a single user.

Yup, that will work. I would advise recording the guitar and vocals separately, then mixing them together within the software. You'll have more control over eq and effects that way. Good luck.
