I wasn't questioning what you said. Over here when we say "reckons" it's acknowledging that someone is stating a fact as they see it, like, "He reckons his kids play on Nintendos all night" would mean that he's saying that as a fact. The English, I'm afraid, speak the weirdest English of all ! Instead of saying it's really hot out there, we'd say, "It isn't half hot "!

In the southern US, "reckon" basically means "I guess" or "I imagine".

Like...."Well Bubba, since you fucked your sister, I reckon yall oughtta get hitched."

Hasn't anyone else noticed that perhaps there is a difference in eggcrates and eggshell foam? I am thinking the former is the paper mache' stuff that separates one layer of eggs from the next when they are packed in big cardboard boxes, whereas the latter is the yellow foam sold to go over your mattress...
