okay guys, so this is the deal, I'm an analogue kinda guy for my console, but I work with a DAW on a regular basis. The time has come for me to add a small digital console to my setup, and I believe either the dm-24 or the 01v96 are the ticket.
I have an m-520 which I am quite happy with, and my requirements are portability, which either handle, 16io to my DAW (which either handle)
and sound!
I found a great price on the dm-24 (under 1600)
but what I really want is to hear other folks using these boards... I want samples... folks are divided on both of these boards, some swear by the yamaha some by tascam... I've heard both of them in some limited environments, but I want to hear from y'all that are out there using them.
So... this is my frustrated and open letter to any and all engineers presently using either of these similar boards... I've seen the specs, I've compared the facts, now lets see which one sounds better. If you have the tracks... post 'em up
