I really like the egg idea. I think I'm going to try that. Get all the guys in the band wasted, we'll eat 51 eggs (screw Paul Newman) each, then go around vomiting everywhere. Thanks guys!!!!

I think you should eat as many boiled eggs as possible and vomit them back up onto the walls.

In the short time I've been here, I always laugh when I read your posts Boss, keep it up! :)

Area Rugs......buy cheap ones on sale, at garage sales, whatever.

After the eggs, you can name your band VOMITRON!!!! <- YES!!!!

I know it's probably wasted effort to mention it, but the coolest sound treatment gadgets on the planet are ASC Studio Traps and Tube Traps. They're based on the "functional absorber" concept first proposed by Harry Olson of RCA labs about 50 years ago. Now, ASC stuff is both well made and very pricey, and mainly used only by people at the top of the music recording food chain. However, the basic functional absorber is actually pretty simple to do as a DIY project. The following link gives you the details on how to make them, though of course they won't be as slick as Studio Traps that have the built-in stands and can be raised and lowered just by pulling up or down.

You can visit the ASC website to read about why the functional absorber is so useful in creating good sound in and within rooms.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Otto

This is a bit off topic but while at work today (in a grocery store) I noticed that apples are shipped in larger "egg crate" type trays and I collected 8 just to arrange in my bedroom to diffuse some sound and it seems like it cut some of the high end reverberation product of my bare walls. Has anyone heard of this?

I am going to learn more about these diy tube traps and attempt building a couple to see how they work. Do you know of any sound clips recorded with room mics before and after room treatment? Let me know!!

I'm going to vomit hard boiled egg onto craft foam and then get my tube traps tied... a hahaha.
