divine heresy kick drum sound

was wondering if anyone could help me achieve this sound? im using audix mics,cubase to record drums at natural tone. i use pro tools 8 for mixing and editing. thanks for everyones time who reads or replys.
 
Post an example of what you mean exactly.

They sound like a metal band, their recordings and probably live kick drum will be a sample.

trying to get a sound like they have recorded for their kick drum. i know his kicks arent triggered during the recording process.i think they do all the recording their self also from what ive heard.thanks again.
 
Im listening to of their stuff right now. That is without a doubt a sample being triggered. Look into how to do that.

You can either buy triggers for the kick and use them to trigger a drum brain like a Ddrum, record the triggers as is (like you would a mic signal) and use a program like drumagog to play the samples, or just mic the kicks and use drumagog to replace the hits with samples.
 
Without question his bass drums are triggered. What album are you listening to? the first or second?
