Already some good comments here - I think Tim's was right on so I'm quoting him. You've got something good going here - just keep adding to it and it will grow into something really great. Looking forward to listening to this as it progresses.....
Thanks, Ido. I worked on teh drums some more, and will re-track the guitars and bass, this weekend, I hope......
Thanks for the comments.

Yo' Dawg, I smell potential here!

Drums are madd crispy and clear and the git perf is on point. There is a minor drag in tempo @ :42 & 1:05 (during flam hits on the snare/ 1st beat of the measure), but that could be due to the copious amounts of vodka I've been enjoying! :D
I'm not a rocker, but I pulled my bass out and tried some funk sh#t to this.
Pretty cool I must admit~

Potential here baby... hook this joint up!

Thanks, dude. I think I fixed the drums, and now need to retrack the guitars, and hopefully this is fixed. So, you got that bassline somewhere? :D
Appreciate the feedback...

DawgMan, you don't need my bassline (along with me foolin' around with a Hammond organ and Tow Of Pow horn patches) changes the entire flow of your joint here that's already headed in the RIGHT DIRECTION! Throw in some distorted but controlled melodic lead work, a hyped & harmonic bassline that follows the rhythm git's chordal progression and root, some hot-@ss, lyrical content and an offbeat 8-bar bridge after the melody, this mofo' is hottttt!!
However Dawg I must admit I really like where you're going with this........ "ROCK ON BRUTHA' ! "...., (I can also have a lotta' fun with this on the funk side too!! ;) :p :)

P-O-T-E-N-T-I-A-L!!!!!!

Anyway Man-Dawg, hook this jammie up! I really wanna' hear this after it's completion!

Peace

update

Hey everyone,
Thought I'd post a little clip of the lead I'm working on for dog's song. I'm going to rerecord the leads to fit the final song and solo section, but thought I'd post it for any tips/thoughts on the recording/tone/style before I record the real thing.

Just a test of... a verse, a chorus, and a different verse
SHADES OF GREY LEAD JAM #2

by the way... the plan now is to have a lead intro, some fills, then later on a whole verse/chorus for a solo

OK, so my opinion on this can be expresses thusly:

I was expecting the guys from Orange County Choppers to come thundering through the wall of the studio....

Nice and fat and crunchy!!!!

LOL, yeah the thread title doesn't lie, does it?

I tried to match the dirtyness on the leads with lots of wah wah pedal, sliding, and bending.

Here we come man, Orange Country Dogs!! :D

Dude, that smokes!!!! I'll get to stepping on a scratch track for ya. I really need to hear this put into perspective, as a whole. Should be sweet.... :D

Kickin' some ass in the mp3 clinic with Orange county dogz and Idahoen Ferretz!!! :D

Ok, here is a basic scratch track I sent to Snake, and True. Posted it here, just because. This is barely mixed, and has some scratch vocals, just to get an idea of where words will go, if anyone is interested. Still needs lots of work, but since I probably won't sing it, and Snake is doing some lead/ fill work, gives you a rough idea. Any comment/help are welcome. You can even call me a "fagget", if you spell it right. :D

If it worked before, just try and reboot. Sometimes they need that. If that don't work, what kind of message do you get?

There is a lot going on here at my daughters house. Kid's doing homework and watching TV(loudly), and my daughter correcting them(loudly!). I will listen again later so I can understand the words better. In the morning when everyone leaves....Granny can crank it!!! :D

But from what I have heard, I like it DOG.
