Dimebags sound WITHOUT any amps !!!

1 - I sampled bassdrum & bnare from "vulgar display of power"
2 - I used old musicmaker to make drums
3 - I recorded bass (samplitude) direct (digitech 2101)
4 - I recorded guitars direct (digitech 2101)
5 - Master with SoundForge

Guitar Sound :

- Compressor
- Noise Gate
- Steinberg Spectralizer
- Waves EQs
- DSP Flanger
- Waves StereoImager

...and that´s 99% Guitar sound of Pantera (witout any Amps!!!)

Its a part of a song from "cowboys from hell" and I played also a riff of mine that u dont think I am faking...

I wouldn't say I'm a fan of Pantera, or their music. But I listened to your clip, and I'd say you've done a great job of re-creating that sound.

Yeah. Nice job. I liked the A/B comparison. Also, the drums came out very good.

I have sampled snares and bassdrums from "far beyond driven" album...(I dont know the song), cleaned them up and used them in my drum computer ( music maker )
Thats why they sound so good !!!
But the most important thing for me was to get that fuc... GREAT guitar sound (and its not so easy) without any amps (cause I don have them) and I get IT :)
If you want these samples just let me know...

I'd just like to say that although it's not exactly alike, if i didn't hear the A/B comparison, i wouldn't have thought it was anything other then the original. They have a specific sound, and you captured it. Good job..
 
Thanks Marty for the offer with the drum samples. It's tempting. However, I'm not set up to use them right now.

Also, let us know what guitar you used.
